FAQs

The original Tutoring Program, founded in 1960 by the Black Student Union, has a rich history of supporting undergraduate MIT students. Renamed the Talented Scholars Resource Room (TSR2), the program moved to the former Office of Minority Education (OME), where it continued to serve students for three decades.

In 2025, following the transition of the OME to OACES, TSR2 also relocated to the Undergraduate Advising Center (UAC), honoring the legacy of its original name, the Tutoring Program.

The Tutoring Program is designed to deliver academic assistance to MIT’s undergraduate students in a variety of subjects with strong support for GIRs.

Our weekly pset nights and exam reviews are available on a drop-in basis and happen throughout the semester. Check the calendar to view the schedule.
