What is your hometown? Queens, NY
What did you study in undergrad? B.A. in Criminology, Law and Society (University of California, Irvine) Grad school? M.S.Ed. in Higher Education (University of Pennsylvania)
What was your favorite experience as an undergrad? I had an incredible time meeting people from all walks of life and being involved in various capacities. I had the best time supporting students through intercultural communication, orientation, and welcomed students from all backgrounds! These experiences made me feel passionate about higher education and the impact we can make in a student’s life even after their university experience.
What are your interests/hobbies? I love learning about people’s stories/lived experiences, touring college campuses, discovering new music, watching movies, taking walks, learning something new and karaoke!
What is your favorite thing about MIT? I love the academic environment and the community’s willing to innovate and collaborate in a variety of spaces.
What advice do you have for MIT students? Be open to new experiences and actively listen to the stories of those around you. Every person you encounter has valuable insights to share, and their unique perspectives can deepen your understanding of the world. By continuously challenging your own viewpoints and learning from others, you open yourself up to growth and positive transformation.
Fun Fact? Before I moved to Boston, I had an average move of every couple years. I’ve lived in the Philippines, CA, NY, PA, and MA. So I’m extremely skilled at moving!
