OFY officially welcomed the 2025 team of Orientation Leaders (OLs)! Each year, over 60 students – including 14 returning OLs serving as Captains – are selected to help guide and support the incoming class of students during Orientation.
OLs play a crucial role in the success of Orientation by fostering community, offering the student perspective, and helping new first-years navigate the transition to MIT. This year’s team represents a wide range of class years, majors, student organizations, FSILGs, and athletic teams.
Diving into training this week, the OLs gathered for an afternoon of introductions and team building. They participated in games, icebreaker activities, and an information session. The group also began planning for the summer and discussing upcoming events like Campus Preview Weekend.
We’re thrilled to see this passionate group of student leaders begin their journey, and we can’t wait to watch them make a lasting impact on the Class of 2029!
