What was your favorite FLI activity? I loved the low-key social events (e.g. game nights, froyo and movie, etc.) that we arranged every now and then to just be together and have fun. I also really enjoyed being part of the FLI Alumni Committee and helping to plan events and resources to connect students with alumni.
How did FLI help you during your time as an MIT undergrad? I’ve made authentic relationships with many FLI students during my time at MIT and I felt so supported by this community. I never felt alone and I could always turn to the FLI community for advice, comfort, resources, friendly company, and good laughs.
How has having a network benefited your career trajectory? Being a part of the FLI alumni committee helped me grow my network and gain valuable insights from alumni who just ‘get it’. They understand the challenges of navigating the workplace, managing finances, moving to a new city, and overall figuring out your career as a FLI graduate. Their support and guidance helped me feel confident in pursuing my career in public health.
What do you do for fun outside of work/school?I love being active (recently picked up running and hiking!), cooking, baking, and discovering new cafe/coffee shops!
