Weekly Pset Nights

Pset nights are drop-in sessions at the TSR2 where students can come work on psets and ask questions to TSR2 tutors. Pset nights are primarily focused on GIRs, and take place weekly in-person and virtually.

1:1 Tutoring Appointments

The TSR2 provides 1:1 appointments for a variety of MIT courses, with a focus on first-year GIRs.

One-on-one appointments are easily requested via the Nimbus platform (desktop, iOS or Android) and take place during the week or weekend via Zoom or in public spaces at MIT (classrooms, library, etc.).

  • Each student can request up to 3 hours of 1:1 appointments for a particular subject each week.
  • Students who schedule 1:1 appointments but fail to show up can be place on hold from using the service that term. If you cannot attend your appointment, make sure to contact us as soon as possible at tsr@mit.edu.

  1. Visit this link to book an appointment
  2. Complete the sign-in process using your Kerberos login information
  3. Schedule your 1:1 appointment

To reschedule:

  • Select your session and tap the “Reschedule” button beside its date
  • Once the calendar screen is open, choose a different date to reschedule your session to
  • Tap “Continue”
  • Choose the time slot you wish to reschedule to
  • Tap “Reschedule” to request your session to be changed by your tutor

Exam Reviews

TSR2 exam reviews are offered both in-person and virtually.

Exam Reviews are offered throughout the semester for all technical GIRs. These exam reviews are scheduled 24-48 hours before the exam itself, and are led by TSR2 tutors. Like pset nights, the exam review sessions are drop-in, and all undergraduate students are welcomed and encouraged to attend.
