What is your favorite thing about MIT? I love how easy it is to explore your passions. When I came to MIT, I was really excited to make use of the makerspaces and learn how to build new things from scratch. And that’s exactly what I did. I completed multiple first-year trainings and even took a class offered by my learning community, ESG, focused on making things in the makerspaces!

How did FLI help you during your time as an MIT undergrad? Being FLI helped me form meaningful connections at MIT. Oftentimes, I would meet new people and then realize they were also a Questie, which instantly created a sense of familiarity and made me feel more at home in the MIT community.

What made you want to be a FLI Student Advisory Board member? I wanted to give back to the FLI community what I had received my freshman year. I love creating spaces where people can feel welcomed and know that the space was intended for them. By joining the board I could give my own input on events and create a stronger community.

What advice would you give to your first-year self? I would tell my first year self to continue exploring all the random opportunities MIT has to offer, as well as managing my time better.

What do you do for fun outside of work/school? I like to explore around Boston with my friends, my favorites being Newbury street and Quincy Market. I also like to bake, cook, draw, practice gymnastics, and assemble Metal Earth kits.
