What are you doing now? I am currently pursuing a PhD in Psychology/Cognitive Science at Tufts University.
What advice would you give to yourself if you were an undergraduate at MIT today? Savor every opportunity to explore yourself! Take classes and learn new skills you find interesting and energizing, not what you think you would look good on paper. You’d be surprised how far it can take you 🙂
What was your favorite FLI activity? I loved serving in the FLI Exec Committee. Organizing community events and initiatives for fellow FLI students was a highlight of my time at MIT.
How did FLI help you during your time as an MIT undergrad? Knowing that I wasn’t alone in my background or struggles kept me afloat at MIT. Plus I made so many incredible friends!
How has having a network benefited your career trajectory? Keeping in touch with my FLI network after graduating has helped me stay grounded and sane as I navigate opportunities (and challenges!) in the post-grad world.
What do you do for fun outside of work/school? I love crafting and practicing music on my various instruments (banjo mostly, these days). I spend a lot of time trying out new crochet patterns, recipes, and other silly passion projects. I also enjoy spending time with friends and exploring the nooks and crannies of New England.
