March 14th is always a special day at MIT, but the UAC, in collaboration with MindHandHeart, gave it an extra sweet twist!
Faculty, students, and staff gathered in Lobby 13 for a lively pi(e) celebration, buzzing with community spirit and appreciation for both tradition and the beloved constant π.
In honor of the iconic 3.14 date – and coinciding with MIT admissions decisions – 5000 pies were shared with the MIT community. Staff members from various offices within the Office of the Vice Chancellor, donning signature Baker Tim aprons and toques, dished out smiles alongside classic apple, cherry, lemon, or blueberry baked desserts for everyone.
It was a fun and meaningful day for students, faculty, and staff to connect, embrace their inner geek, and enjoy a Friday Pi Day! 🥧
