The Committee accepts petitions on a rolling basis and reviews them as schedules permit. Decisions are reported by email as soon as possible after each meeting. Meetings are currently scheduled once a month and are held on Fridays during the academic year. Students can expect to be notified of petition decisions by the Wednesday following the monthly meeting.
The deadlines to CAP to receive a completed petition for AY2023-24 are on the following dates. Please note your petition needs to be complete by 5:00 PM EDT on the respective dates below.

Petitions to Exceed Credit Limits
Petitions to exceed credit limits should be submitted before the beginning of each term, so that you will know how to register.
Late or Incomplete Petitions
The Committee will not review a petition until it is complete. The CAP Administrator will hold your incomplete petition and notify you via email of any missing information.
Note that the CAP reviews petitions for undergraduates only; graduate students should follow the petition process outlined on the website of the Office of Graduate Education.
